Joanna and Stephanie came to me needing a logo and label for their delicious new concept, Umami Dressing, created locally here in the Okanagan. Umami, meaning “Savoury” in Japanese, is the fifth youngest sibling of four familiar tastes, sweet, salty, sour and bitter. This delicious sauce is more than just a dressing - this ‘fifth’ flavour pairs with almost anything. The girls wanted a product that would look different from the rest and stand out from its competitors on the shelf, because truly, it is a product of its own kind. We decided to go with a Japanese colour theme, and created a swirly texture envoking the the emotion of excitable dancing tastebuds, just like this dressing is sure to do! We are so happy with the overall design and are super proud of our clients for all their success!
